Q- How much does it cost to do a Driver’s license?
Application for a new card is R250, you will need ID copy, two photos and proof of address.
For a temporary license, you pay R90 and need one photo.
Q- PDP Application:
It costs R400 with the same documents as above.
Q-What are the operating hours for the Driver’s License Unit?
7:00Aamto 14:00pm.
Q- Can someone else collect my license card for me?
Yes, write a letter authorizing that person and have it certified by SAPS or Post Office, a copy
of your ID will also be needed for the collection.
Q-What do I need to renew my car license disc?
Private motor car license renewal: proof of address, ID and fill out a green form.
For business vehicles: proxy letter, proxy ID, business certificate & proof of address.
Q-What are the operating hours for the Motor Licensing Unit?
8:00am – 13:00pm.
Q- What are the operating hours for the library?
Mon-Fri 7:45am- 16:15pm and Saturday’s 8:00am-12:00pm

Q- How do I get a Councillors letter of proof of address?
A letter can be authorized for Mkhambathini residents by the councilor’s secretary at the municipality. Get in touch with Mpume Makhanya at the Mayor’s office 0317859316.
